  • What is Erasmus+ and what impact does it aim to achieve?

Erasmus+ is a European Union programme that supports education, training, youth and sport in Europe and beyond. In the South Med region, it offers mobility opportunities to students, teachers, professionals and young people, strengthening their skills, employability and international openness.

By fostering cooperation between institutions in the region and their European partners, it stimulates innovation and improves the quality of education and training systems. Its impact is reflected in better professional integration, active citizenship and a strengthening of Euro-Mediterranean ties.

  • What activities, initiatives or opportunities for participation should young people be aware of?

Young people in the South Med region can benefit from Erasmus+ through academic mobility opportunities, including academic exchanges that enhance their skills and employability. In addition, the Erasmus Mundus Joint Masters grant provides access to masters of excellence in several European countries, offering high-level training and enriching multicultural immersion. Erasmus+ also supports volunteering projects and youth exchanges, fostering civic engagement and openness to the world. Finally, Erasmus+ encourages participation in cooperation and innovation projects, enabling young people to play an active role in the development of their communities.

  • What advice would you have liked to receive at 20?

Dare, even if you are afraid! The greatest opportunities often arise from the unknown. So get out of your comfort zone and trust life! Every failure is a lesson and every step forward will bring you closer to the person you want to become!
