Howaida Faiad

I am Howaida, an architect from Alexandria, Egypt, with a deep passion for cultural heritage, sustainability, and education. My journey began in 2020, documenting the cultural richness of Jeddah Al-Balad, and I am now part of USAID’s ‘VISIT ESNA’ project, working to revitalise Esna’s heritage in Upper Egypt.

Living by the Mediterranean has deepened my respect for the sea and its ecosystem, inspiring my work with Banlastic Egypt, where I coordinate educational and environmental projects, empower youth to launch initiatives, and support marginalised communities. Additionally, I share my passion through cultural journalism, addressing Egyptian heritage, climate change, and cultural shifts on my blog.
