I am Moussa, a Syrian journalist from the Kurdish minority and Yazidi faith. I co-founded North Press Agency in 2019 and established ‘the +963’ in 2024, where I serve as the Vice President for Development and Training.
In addition to my journalism work, I advocate for human rights in Syria, Iraq, Turkey, and Ukraine. I have collaborated extensively with international NGOs and media to combat hate speech and empower ethnic and religious minorities.
Awarded the Journalistic Courage Prize by the Free Media Union in 2020, I have also served as a media consultant for international coalition teams and a persistent advocate for women’s rights, environmental protection, and LGBTQ+ communities. I strive to enhance youth empowerment in political processes and ensure their voices reach international platforms, leveraging my fluency in six languages.
