The EU-funded Clima South project has published a new handbook providing a step-by-step approach for practitioners to access climate finance. The handbook was produced by the Clima South project in collaboration with the EU-funded Facility for Regional Policy Dialogue on Integrated Maritime Policy and Climate Change (FacIMP/BE CC).

The handbook was conceived as a toolbox for key government and other stakeholder. The tools provided focus on the preparation and assessment of project applications. The handbook is seen as a living document, to be regularly updated based on experiences and lessons learned through its use.

The Clima South series of e-handbooks are produced to enhance climate change strategic planning, and tailored to the needs of the South Mediterranean region.

The Clima South project seeks to enhance regional cooperation between the EU and its southern Mediterranean neighbours and among the partner countries themselves (South–South) on climate change mitigation and adaptation, mainly through capacity development and information sharing. The overarching goal is to support the transition of ENP South countries towards low carbon development and climate resilience. (EU Neighbourhood Info
