In partnership with the EU in Algeria, Joussour is launching this Call for Expressions of Interest, dedicated to supporting cooperation between territories for the benefit of children and young people on three levels: local, national and international.

Using these funds, Joussour aims to:

  • Consolidate or support the emergence of an environment of collaboration and reciprocity between associations working in the same region and/on the same theme in different regions, or facing the same challenges when responding to the Sustainable Development Goals;
  • Foster the emergence of collective dynamics, bringing together stakeholders of different types (associations, universities, decentralised government services, economic stakeholders) from Algeria and/or elsewhere in Europe, Africa and/or the Mediterranean, through working groups and/or and think tanks;

The Joussour executive team will hold bi-monthly information sessions on this Call for Projects. These sessions, which will take place via Zoom, will be accessible to all charities interested in finding out more about the objectives of the support fund and the process to which it belongs.

Backed by the EU, the Joussour project in support of sustainable development goals is a continuation of the Algerian Concerted Multi-Stakeholder Programme Joussour, which began in 2008.

Its therefore works within a frame of reference shared by the Algerian government and the European Union Member States that have adopted the Sustainable Development Goals.
