With an annual budget of €4.7 billion in 2024, Erasmus+ continued to deliver great benefits for its participants and make efficient use of its funds. Last year, Erasmus+ supported more than 34 400 projects, involving over 85 600 organisations. While doing this, it provided learning opportunities to almost 1.5 million students, learners, professors, teachers, trainers, youth workers, sport coaches and young people.
The 2024 edition of the Erasmus+ Annual Report shows how the programme delivered its objectives for the period, bringing strong and lasting benefits for individuals, organisations, and education, training, youth and sport systems. The report was presented at the 2025 Education and Skills summit, highlighting the strong link between Erasmus+ and education, training and skills in Europe.

Erasmus+ will continue to foster positive impact in the years to come. The Erasmus+ 2026 call for proposals was published on 12 November 2025. And, in a longer-term perspective, last July, the Commission proposed a long-term budget including a reinforced Erasmus+ programme with learning mobility, solidarity and inclusiveness still at the core of the programme and a 50% budget increase compared to the 2021-2027 cycle.
