Two events, related to BEEP project, were organized at the Egypt-Japan University for Science and Technology (E-JUST) during the month of August 2022.

The first event targeted architecture students (undergraduate and postgraduate students) from the Architecture and Art departments at Alexandria, Pharos and Arabic Academy of Science and Technology Universities.

The second event aimed to hold a round table discussion among politicians, professionals involved in the protection of cultural heritage, professionals working in the construction sector, architects, professors, engineers. etc… to discuss the technical and economic benefits of the BEEP project and the need for new legislations to enable future improvements in the energy performance of existing public and private buildings.

BEEP project aims at strengthening the use of Building Information Modelling (BIM) to enhance energy efficiency in buildings. The testing of this emerging technology on built heritage will be performed to demonstrate its scalability to the entire building stock.
