CES-MED will take part in the “EU Climate Action & Sustainable Energy in the Neighbourhood South” Regional Conference that will take place in Brussels between the 20th and 21st of March 2018.

The conference will offer the opportunity to take stock of the relevant EU policies, mark the completion of the three current regional projects – CES-MED, ClimaSouth and SUDEP South, and share lessons learned.

EU officials, national focal points and local authorities from the partner countries, representatives from the civil society and the private sector will participate in the event.

A preliminary agenda for the two-day event is available here.

The CES-MED project is an EU-funded regional initiative set up to provide training and technical assistance support to local and national authorities in the southern Mediterranean region, with a view to helping them respond more actively to sustainable policy challenges.

CES-MED ensures that the actions proposed match with the objectives of the Covenant of Mayors: to reach and even go beyond the European objective to reduce CO2 emissions by 20% thanks to the improvement of energy efficiency and the increased use of sustainable energy.
