The CreativeTunisia2.0 project, which is named “Employment generation in the handicrafts sector through the support of migration actors in Tunisia” and is a part of the EDMEJ programme, is financed by the European Union in Tunisia with support from AICS, the Italian Agency for Development Cooperation. Commissioned by UNIDO Field Office in Tunisia, in partnership with Tunisia’s National Handicrafts Office (ONA), this project seeks to diversify employment opportunities in handicrafts by stressing the integration of migrants in Tunisia.

The project’s participants benefit from various initiatives, with a particular emphasis on opportunities for workforce integration and the creation of companies that are both sustainable and inclusive of young people, women, and returning migrants.

In order to improve companies’ competitive positioning and their adaptability, Creative Tunisia 2.0 has partnered with the ONA and launched a trial training course on the subject of “carrying out diagnostics to upgrade handicrafts companies”, meant for ONA management and the Creative Tunisia team.
