EBRD Vice President Mark Bowman visits Morocco

The EBRD’s Vice President for Policy and Partnerships, Mark Bowman, will visit Morocco from 18 to 20 June for high-level meetings with government officials and members of the business community and to sign agreements on new investments. During his visit to Rabat, Vice President Bowman will hold meetings with Morocco’s Minister of Economy and Finance and EBRD Governor, Nadia Fettah Alaoui, the Minister Delegate in charge of the Budget, Fouzi Lekjaa, the Minister of Energy Transition and Sustainable Development, Leila Benali, Advisors to the Moroccan King, Omar Kabbaj and Abderrahim Bouazza, the Director General of the Central Bank of Morocco, Abderrahim Bouazza, the President of the National Electricity Regulatory Authority, Zouhair Chorfi, the Director General of the State Assets Participation Agency, Abdellatif Zaghnoun, and the Mayor of Rabat, Fatiha El Moudni.

 

Mr Bowman will also speak at the opening ceremony of the “World Cup, World Climate” conference, as well as attending the Women in Infrastructure conference organised by the EBRD in Casablanca at the University Mohammed VI Polytechnic (UM6P). Ahead of his visit, Mark Bowman said: “I look forward to talking to the Moroccan authorities and the business community and discussing our future areas of cooperation. The EBRD is committed to supporting Morocco’s economic transition, and we value our longstanding partnership with government authorities, partner banks and the private sector – all essential drivers of a greener, more inclusive economy.”
