The 18 selected entrepreneurs are from the SwitchMed partner countries: 3 from Algeria, 3 from Israel, 1 from Jordan, 1 from Lebanon, 3 from Morocco, 2 from Palestine and 5 from Tunisia. Their business ideas can be clustered into 6 sectors: organic food and agriculture, renewable energy and energy efficiency, sustainable building and construction, sustainable cleaning products and cosmetics, waste management and resource efficiency.

By the end of the programme, 45 entrepreneurs will have benefitted from the incubation period under Green Entrepreneurs Programme.

The SwitchMed sustainable consumption and production programme aims to promote a switch by the Mediterranean economies towards sustainable consumption and production patterns and green economy, including low-emission development, through demonstration and dissemination of methods that improve resource and energy efficiency. It also seeks to minimise the environmental impacts associated with the life cycle of products and services and, where possible, to promote renewable energy.
