Egypt: US$ 341 million loan to upgrade oil and gas infrastructure

The European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) announced on Thursday 4 February a grant loan (US$ 341 million) to upgrade Egypt’s oil and gas infrastructure. 
 
This amount is granted to Sonker, an Egyptian company providing hydrocarbon storage and bunkering. It will support a significant upgrade of the country’s oil and gas infrastructure and will contribute to the energy security of Egypt.
