EU and CSFS discusses EU’s policies in the region

On 15 March 2018, a dialogue session was held at CSFS premises in Tunis, which brought together regional dialogue fellows 2018, Dr. Ahmed Damrawy (CSFS Regional Team Leader) and Mrs. Irène Mingasson (Head of Unit-DG NEAR- EU).

The session focused on a range of topics related to women’s participation in political life, Youth unemployment and employability, illegal migration and EU policies related to these issues.
 

The meeting concluded by presenting a number of recommendations aiming to enhancing the consultation process between EU institutions, youth leaders and civil society representatives in the southern Mediterranean region.

The Civil Society Facility South (CSF South) is an EU-funded regional programme launched in December 2012 with the aim of enhancing the effectiveness of EU cooperation with its Southern Mediterranean partners. It mainly aims at increasing the involvement of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) and other non-state actors (NSAs) in sector policy dialogues at the level of partner countries by combining both national specificities and regional dynamics.
