Tunisia EU and Egypt Launch AI Readiness Report to Foster Responsible and Inclusive Digital Transformation

The Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT) and UNESCO Cairo launched Egypt’s AI Readiness Assessment Report, funded by the European Union and developed in cooperation with MCIT. The report offers an in-depth analysis of Egypt’s legal, policy, institutional and technical landscape, identifying both gaps and opportunities to develop AI in a responsible, human-centred way. The EU affirmed Egypt’s growing leadership in ethical AI governance and inclusive digital transformation and looks forward to strengthen cooperation on the country’s digital transition.
