A basic judicial training will be delivered to magistrates from Morocco in order to improve their knowledge on electronic evidence and cybercrime investigations/prosecutions. The training will be held on 14-17 May in Rabat, Morocco, in the framework of CyberSouth project activities.

Organized in collaboration with the Superior Institute for Magistrates of Morocco, the introductory training module will touch upon legislative aspects of cybercrime, and will provide to the participants (judges and prosecutors) with the information about how to deal with electronic evidence, instruments for cybercrime investigations/prosecutions and the channels and instruments for international cooperation.

This event is part of a wider strategy of the Ministry of Justice in Morocco to benefit from CyberSouth Project support in order to build a pool of magistrates, gaining expertise in the field of cybercrime and electronic evidence, to be used as resource and for the training of other magistrates.

CyberSouth is a joint project of the European Union and the Council of Europe. It contributes to the prevention and control of cybercrime and other offences involving electronic evidence in the region of the Southern Neighbourhood, in line with international human rights and rule of law standards and good practices.
