EU-funded THE NEXT SOCIETY project: Third Benchmarking visits and training tour in Wallonia for the South-Med Clusters

The third benchmarking visits and training of EU-funded project THE NEXT SOCIETY started on Monday 28 October 2019. After Catalonia, in Spain and Piedmont, in Italy, this time benchmarking visits and training activities are taking place in Belgium.

12 cluster managers, cluster representatives and network managers from Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, Palestine and Tunisia, are taking part to this third exciting inspiration and learning 5 day-tour to have the opportunity to meet their peers from the Walloon region. The programme of the week will focus on the following key topics: Cluster governance; Members engagement; International network development.

THE NEXT SOCIETY is an open community of change makers engaged in innovation and economic development, launching a four year action plan (2017 – 2020), co-funded by the European Union up to 90% for a global amount of EUR 7.8 million budget. It aims at reinforcing innovation ecosystems and fostering value creation as well as pushing forward concrete solutions for a shared prosperity in the Mediterranean and tomorrow in Africa. It gathers already a large network of over 300 business & innovation, research and investment organisations, 2,500 international SMEs and entrepreneurs from 30 countries.
