MEDSTAT IV organises a regional workshop in Paris, on October 9-10, to discuss the publication of comparable data on various components of the gender gap in the ENP-S countries.

Since 2017, MEDSTAT IV worked together with some of the ENP-S countries on specific aspects of gender statistics. The results of this work will now be shared, discussed and lessons will be drawn from these experiences that may be useful for the whole region.

The meeting will consider a specific research that has been launched under the auspices of the MEDSTAT 4 working group on Labour market statistics regarding employment and women. The working group is trying to develop common definitions of key employment indicators on women and will present the initial results achieved. This will feed the development of the harmonised regional framework for the production and dissemination of gender statistics.

The MEDSTAT IV project provides expertise and technical support to promote the harmonisation of statistics in line with EU and international standards in 6 domains: business register and business, trade and balance of payments, energy, labour market, migration and transport.
