The EU Heads of Mission stood in solidarity with the Mikhmas Bedouin community struggling to secure their livelihoods, where violence is so intense that families are separated and women and children are sent away. In Kafr Malik they payed condolences to the families of the three Palestinians killed last week during a massive settler attack which also involved setting fire to buildings and vehicles.
According to OHCHR, since 7 Oct 2023 extremist settlers killed 14 Palestinians (including 2 children) in the West Bank. In addition 7 Palestinians including 1 child were killed either by ISF or settlers as they were shooting jointly at Palestinians. Israel has a legal obligation to protect civilians in the West Bank and to hold perpetrators accountable.
