EU provides recommendations on cybercrime legislation amendments in Jordan

A workshop aiming to assess the amendments to the Jordanian Electronic Crimes Law was organised on 23 September in Amman, Jordan under the framework of the EU-funded CyberSouth project. Members of the Law Committee in charge of drafting the amendments attended the event.

The Council of Europe experts provided recommendations and guidance for the amendments to the cybercrime and electronic evidence legislation in line with the provisions of the Budapest Convention.

CyberSouth is a joint project of the European Union and the Council of Europe. It contributes to the prevention and control of cybercrime and other offences involving electronic evidence in the region of the Southern Neighbourhood, in line with international human rights and rule of law standards and good practices.
