The EU is proud to support the Wigstock 2018 event which took place in the evening of June 6th in Israel, Tel Aviv. The idea is to celebrate pride, equality and human rights.
“We are here today to support people’s right to health and their right to live free from discrimination and prejudice. 2018 is an important year for human rights, as we mark the 70th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. Its first article reads “all human beings are born free and equal in dignity and rights”. It is the EU’s commitment to ensure that we advance LGBTI equality in the European Union and beyond. In fact, the EU stands and will stand for the human rights of all people.”
