EUPOL COPPS Court Team advisers facilitated a Training of Trainers for the Palestinian Judicial Institute (PJI). The trainers were from the Swedish National Courts Administration (SNCA), a leading Swedish body responsible for the overall coordination of the courts in Sweden. The training aimed to enhance the PJI’s own training skills to eventually develop best training techniques for the benefit of fellow judges and prosecutors.
The on-line training, which 20 participants attended, was held on 25 February. During the two-hour session, the Swedish trainers touched upon several topics including common pitfalls in delivering trainings, constant development of trainers’ skills and training design. At the end of the training, the Swedish trainers provided advice for Judicial training, such as using interactive and experimental learning methods and providing focused feedback.
EUPOL COPPS had already in the past organised e-learning activities and facilitated intensive cooperation with SNCA and PJI. The PJI is the main body in the judiciary responsible for qualifying cadres to fill judicial positions in the justice sector.
