EUNIC Global has launched the Call for Ideas within the European ‘Houses’ of Culture, inviting its network to submit their innovative ideas for a cultural relations project to be implemented in 2020. The deadline for submission is 23 June.

The project ideas should be innovative in approach, partnership and activities and should be based on the contemporary understanding of cultural relations: people-to-people approach, co-creation and beyond showcasing of cultural diversity.

The project needs to take place outside of the EU and three EUNIC members need to work together with the local EU Delegation and at least one important local partner. In total, a project can be awarded up to € 60,000 including the preparation phase.

EUNIC – European Union National Institutes for Culture is Europe’s network of national cultural institutes, with 36 members from all 28 EU member states and offices in over 150 countries. EUNIC members work in the arts, languages, youth, education, science, society, intercultural dialogue and development. At a local level, EUNIC members join together in over 100 clusters – in cities, regions, and countries – to collaborate on common projects and programmes and to promote the role of culture in the EU’s internal and external relations. In 2014, EUNIC was selected as one of the cultural networks co-funded by the Creative Europe Programme (2014-2017).
