Every year, International Women’s Day is an opportunity to highlight those who, through their commitment and determination, transform the world around them. In 2025, the Delegation of the European Union to Tunisia has chosen to celebrate this day alongside the Women Entrepreneurs of Tunisia, an event that pays tribute to those who dare, innovate, and build the future. These women, through their boldness and perseverance, not only shift the boundaries in their communities; they inspire a dynamic of change throughout the country. Through their journeys, they illustrate one certainty: economic and social progress is also, and above all, built on the strength of their ideas and the energy of their actions.

The “Women Entrepreneurs of Tunisia” initiative, spearheaded by Managers magazine and supported by the EU Delegation, celebrates its 10th edition this year. And for the first time, the competition fully incorporates an inclusive dimension, with a special prize dedicated to those who actively integrate equality and diversity into their entrepreneurial vision.

But the European Union’s commitment goes beyond a simple honorary distinction. Several Tunisian-European cooperation projects are being mobilized to offer the winners concrete opportunities: training, certifications, tailored support, and even participation in international trade fairs. This is an essential stepping stone for those seeking to take their ambitions to the next level.

In an interview with IFM radio as part of the EU4You program, the EU Ambassador to Tunisia reiterated this commitment: “Gender equality is a priority that runs through all our cooperation programs. It’s not just about celebrating individual journeys, but about creating systemic dynamics that allow every woman to achieve her full potential.”
