TunisiaHigh Representative/Vice-President Mogherini at the International Conference on Libya in Palermo
Federica Mogherini, High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy/Vice-President of the Commission, is attending the International Conference for Libya hosted by the Italian Government in Palermo on 12-13 November.
The Conference aims to demonstrate the international community’s full support for the implementation of the United Nations Action Plan on Libya and the efforts of UN Special Representative Ghassan Salamé to overcome the political stalemate in Libya’s transition towards a stable, secure and prosperous country. The Conference will discuss prospects for a political settlement, elections, economic and institutional reforms as well as the creation of viable and accountable security institutions.
