CAWTAR, a member of the InnovAgroWoMed project consortium in Tunisia, has launched two calls for applications to select candidates for training sessions in the agri-food sector. The deadline for applications is 1st June.

35 women from the Governorates of Medenine and Beja will be trained and provided with new skills and opportunities in the sector of processing of dairy and fishery products.

Each training course lasts 600 hours over 10 months, from June 2021 to March 2022. It includes face-to-face and online training sessions, practical work sessions, field visits and post-training support in the creation of enterprises/cooperatives, marketing, production and hygiene techniques; as well as the possibility of providing small financial resources and the opportunity to participate in a training camp in Sicily.

The InnovAgroWoMed project aims at stimulating women’s labour market participation and entrepreneurship, by harnessing the potential of the agri-food sector and showing a significant level of untapped potential for innovation and growth. This three-year project is funded at 87% by the European Union through the ENI CBC Med Program for a global amount of €2,8 million euros.
