July 1, 2020
Over a thousand participants from Israel and Europe took part in the first ever Climate Policy Forum: Innovation and Green Technologies for the European Green Deal, arranged by the European Union in Israel on 25 June 2020. The conference, which took place as a blended physical and digital event, included debates, speeches and workshops aimed at laying groundwork for EU-Israeli cooperation for climate action.
It included a discussion of current EU and Israel climate policy developments, and scope for increasing climate diplomacy, and presented technologies for sustainable agriculture, mobility, and energy transition. Israeli and European Start-Ups had a chance to pitch their businesses in a Start-Up Pavilion and explore opportunities for climate innovation investment, including blended funding.
