To ensure that officers build internal training capacity and long-term organisational improvement, EUPOL COPPS police advisers organised a workshop for 20 Palestinian police officers from the Specialised Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on 18 – 21 May at the Jericho-based Palestine College for Police Sciences. The training of trainers (ToT) encourages leadership qualities within the police, helping to create future mentors and leaders. The participants belong to diverse investigative backgrounds, some with extensive experience in knowledge transfer, others with limited formal pedagogical training. The workshop aims to provide a common foundation in effective teaching approaches, training design, and delivery of professional instruction. The focus is on structuring learning content, using interactive teaching methods, and building confidence in the trainer role. EUPOL COPPS remains committed to supporting its partners in strengthening capacities in the security and justice sector, with a focus on quality training, institutional development, and the promotion of the rule of law.
