The EU-funded OPEN Media Hub project provided in-house management consultations to two of the main print media in Jordan: Ad Dustour and Al Ra’i newspapers. The in-house consultations build on the Media Management Master Classes that took place in July 2016 in Amman.

The sessions addressed the specific needs of the media and included management consultations on general organisational management, workflow, human resources; editorial management consulting – such as planning and assigning tasks, coordination of print, multi-platform and social media content and the creation of content for the two publications.

The OPEN Media Hub project, funded under the OPEN Neighbourhood Programme, aims at creating a virtual media hub spanning the two regions, in order to contribute to the development of independent media and to a more accurate presentation of EU policies in the Neighbourhood regions, through the creation of a network of journalists. The OPEN Media Hub will provide skills to journalists and media managers through the fostering of professional networks, the provision of hands-on workshops, of journalist exchanges and support to audio-visual and online production.
