The Document Security Training Programme, a collaborative effort between the Royal Marechaussee, and EUBAM Libya, has come to an end. This programme aimed to equip Libyan border security personnel with the critical skills needed to accurately identify and verify documents, ultimately preventing illegal activities like human trafficking and terrorism.
Through intensive training and hands-on exercises, participants gained valuable knowledge and expertise in advanced document examination techniques to detect forged or tampered travel documents, visas, and other official identification.
The impact of this programme extends far beyond individual skill development. It has fostered a strong network of collaboration amongst the Libyan border security agencies, the Royal Marechaussee, and EUBAM Libya over a span of five years. This knowledge exchange ensures that best practices are continuously shared and implemented, leading to ever-growing document security capabilities.
