Funded by the European Union under the ENI CBC Med Programme, the project Med Pearls is issuing a call for individual experts to express interest in being included in the project pool of mentors providing technical expertise.

This call relates to the Slow Tourism ‘Product Development Facility’, in which the project provides financial support but also technical expertise to Destination Management Companies (DMCs) or Incoming Travel Agencies to develop Slow Tourism products.

Med Pearls is looking to elaborate a short-list of individual experts who will mentor and provide guidance to the beneficiaries of the support, and will also ensure coherence among the products to be created accross the Mediterranean region.

Individuals are invited to apply as independent experts by submitting their applications before the end of September to the following e-mail address: info@ceeba.org

The main pillars of the Med Pearls project are: to attract tourism to less-known areas with a low number of visitors per year; to work on the deseasonalization of tourism offers and hence contributing to more job opportunities and local economic development; and to avoid the negative effects of mass tourism choosing a responsible and sustainable approach which preserves local communities’ identity.
