MED•GEM Network’s at the 1st Gathering of the Lebanon Committee of the World Energy Council Conseil mondial de l’énergie (CME)

We’re honored to announce that the EU-funded MED-GEM Network was a key partner for the pivotal 3rd session of the 2025 First Gathering of the Lebanon Committee of the World Energy Council. This landmark event took place on Thursday, February 6th, 2025, in Beirut, Lebanon and featured an official presentation and a panel discussion. The outcomes of the study “Analysis of the Production Potential for Green Hydrogen and its Derivatives in Lebanon: A Preliminary Lebanese Green Hydrogen Road Map” implemented by the MED•GEM Network were presented by Hadi Abou Moussa, Senior Energy Engineer of the The Lebanese Center for Energy Conservation (LCEC). With more than 50 stakeholders, from various sectors, spanning energy, law, technology, and government, we discussed the benefits of green hydrogen and its applications in the fertilizers and industrial sectors as well as other hard-to-abate sectors.
