TunisiaMedia: supporting young voices and gender equality

The EU reaffirmed its commitment to “supporting young voices and gender equality in and through the media, as part of its wider actions for underpinning media reform in the Southern Mediterranean region”, according to a statement by an EU representative at the annual meeting of the Permanent Conference of Mediterranean Audiovisual Operators (COPEAM), held on 7-9 April 2016 in Ajaccio (Corsica). The session “provided a unique opportunity for the EU-funded MedMedia programme to present its recent achievements in the fields of gender equality and youth empowerment”, the programme said on its website where it published reports from this meeting.
