Tunisia MEDREG Advocates for Regulatory Certainty in Scaling Green Hydrogen at a MED-GEM Event
On 2 October, MEDREG took part in a Mediterranean Green Electrons and Molecules (MED-GEM) side event titled “Advancing Green Hydrogen Readiness in the Southern Mediterranean”, held during the World Power-to-X Summit 2025 in Marrakech. The event brought together high-level regulators, investors, industry stakeholders, and institutional representatives to exchange views on how to turn strategic hydrogen goals into tangible outcomes.
Represented by Mr. Agustin Alonso, Co-Chair of the MEDREG Hydrogen Task Force, MEDREG contributed to a panel on “Advancing Hydrogen Certification and Export Readiness”. Mr. Alonso emphasised that regulatory certainty and harmonised certification are essential prerequisites for unlocking major investments and enabling cross-border hydrogen trade between the Southern Mediterranean and the European Union.
MEDREG remains committed to providing the clear and stable regulatory framework that the market needs to scale up green hydrogen development.
