MEDREG holds 39th General Assembly Meeting

The 39th MEDREG General Assembly was held on 28 May in Antalya, Türkiye, kindly hosted by the Energy Market Regulatory Authority (EMRA), MEDREG’s Turkish member. The meeting also welcomed the participation of the European Commission (DG MENA). During the session, members reviewed the progress made toward achieving MEDREG’s 2025 deliverables, which include study visits, expert missions, workshops, and key strategic studies.

 

Currently, the Working Groups are advancing several important initiatives:

  • Developing Guidelines of Good Practice on Dynamic Regulation
  • Drafting a report on the Role of Adequacy Mechanisms in Improving the Electricity System
  • Exploring The Indirect Impact of Emission Reduction
  • Analysing Green Electricity Trading in the Mediterranean Region
  • Updating the 2022 report on Technical and Non-Technical Losses

 

In the coming months, a series of tailor-made support activities will be implemented for MEDREG’s Southern members. All ongoing reports are expected to be finalised and submitted to the General Assembly for approval by the end of the year.
