Waleed works as a senior coordinator for the first Youth Organisations Coalition in Jordan. It is in partnership with UNESCO and is funded by the EU.
The purpose of the coalition is to create a platform for 60 youth organisations and youth networks that creates connections and coordinates between them. The project was launched in Amman thanks to NetMed Youth, an EU project supporting youth networks in the Mediterranean.
The story of Waleed is told in the latest EU Neighbours South video, showing how the EU invests in young and innovative minds to build a brighter future in the Mediterranean.
The videos are released on the EU Neighbours South Facebook page, or can be seen on the project’s YouTube channel.
They are part of the #EU4YOUTH social media driven campaign (Facebook, Twitter) aimed at raising awareness of EU-funded youth initiatives in the EU Southern Neighbourhood countries: Algeria, Egypt, Jordan, Lebanon, Libya, Morocco, Palestine and Tunisia. The campaign targets one million young people in the age group 18-35 in the EU Southern Neighbourhood countries.
