Police departments today depend on a wide range of technologies, from dispatch and case tracking to digital evidence management. A central, up-to date server room ensures these systems are integrated, secure, and managed from one reliable, centralized location. A central server room is therefore a vital asset for the Palestinian Civil Police (PCP), serving as the digital backbone for essential systems, including case management, emergency dispatch, and evidence storage.

Mindful of this need, EUPOL COPPS handed over a state-of-the-art central server to the PCP ICT Department, on 4 June, in Ramallah. The new server replaces an outdated system in need of enhancement in order, including to handle the growing volume of digital data. Based on the feedback received by his PCP colleagues, Rade Odzic, EUPOL COPPS Deputy Head of the Security Sector Reform Section, said the hand-over marked a significant contribution to IT infrastructure and a major step forward in the digital transformation of the PCP.
