Official Launch of the Tunisian Food & Handcrafts Expo in Kenya

Organized in partnership between the Jeun’ESS Project and the National Chamber of Women Entrepreneurs (CNFCE). The Tunisian Food & Handcrafts Expo opened this morning in Nairobi with the participation of 11 Tunisian social and solidarity economy (SSE) enterprises, proudly showcasing high-quality, sustainable and community-based products. The opening ceremony brought together key institutional figures: Ms. Caroline Khamati Mugalla, Director, ILO Country Office for Tanzania, Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda & Burundi as well as Ms. Leila Belkhiria Jaber, President of CNFCE and Vice Chair of COMFWB, Ms. Vicky Karuga, President of FOWEK and COMFWB Kenya Chapter and Amb. Dennis G. Mburu, Director, Africa Affairs Directorate, Ministry of Foreign & Diaspora Affairs, Republic of Kenya in addition to  Mr. Anouar Ben Youssef, Ambassador of the Republic of Tunisia to Kenya, Tanzania, Uganda, Rwanda, Burundi and Malawi. Running until June 18, the Expo features B2B sessions, live cooking demonstrations, artisan workshops and business networking opportunities between Tunisian and East African actors. Tunisia is not just exporting products,  it is exporting values: solidarity, quality and youth entrepreneurship.
