The EU-funded OPEN Media Hub is providing a series of in-house media and media management consultations to Moroccan and Tunisian media.

In Morocco, the media management consultations, to take place from 13 to 15 May, will target print and online following up on the Media Management Master Class held in Casablanca in April 2017. The tailor-made consultations will be delivered by the OPEN Media Hub experts with vast regional experience in team management, print and digital media, TV and radio production, using smartphones in reporting news, creating digital content, video for online, writing for the web, social media reporting and editorial values.

In Tunisia, OPEN Media Hub expert Khalil Bechir will provide in-house media consultations for broadcast media from 15 to 20 May. He will be working on editorial management and planning and on the production of broadcast stories for the stations and for the OPEN Media Hub exchange platform.

The OPEN Media Hub project, funded under the OPEN Neighbourhood Programme, aims at creating a virtual media hub spanning the two regions, in order to contribute to the development of independent media and to a more accurate presentation of EU policies in the Neighbourhood regions, through the creation of a network of journalists. The OPEN Media Hub will provide skills to journalists and media managers through the fostering of professional networks, the provision of hands-on workshops, of journalist exchanges and support to audio-visual and online production.
