Palestine: call for applications for sustainable tourism and youth activation training

As part of CROSSDEV, project lead CISP and local partner Palestinian Heritage Trail are seeking interested young candidates from the project’s target areas in Palestine to apply for a soon-to-start training about sustainable tourism and youth activation.

The training will strengthen the capacities of young people to create and lead local tourism campaigns, highlighting the crucial role of community members in the development of a responsible tourism that is able to benefit the whole community and boost its economy.

  • Who can apply: University Students 18+. Applicants with disabilities are highly encouraged to submit their applications.
  • Targeted areas: Applicants must be from the communities along the newly developed trail segment, from Beit Merism to Battir.
  • Expected training starting date: September 9th, 2021
  • Expected timing for the implementation of two tourism campaigns: September – October 2021.
  • Applications deadline: 5 September 2021

CROSSDEV strengthens and enhances sustainable tourism practices, emphasizing common heritage and resources. Specifically, the project intends to increase touristic competitiveness and attractiveness of less-known destinations and rural/depressed areas, adopting the Cultural Routes concept in selected areas of 4 countries: Italy, Jordan, Lebanon and Palestine.
