The Government of Finland provided, on Wednesday 9 March 2016, EUR 3 million to help East Jerusalem hospitals maintain critical medical services. This contribution is channelled through the European Union’s PEGASE mechanism, the local Office of the European Union Representative said in statement.
The Office reminded that “since 2012, the EU and its Member States have released over EUR 66 million to help relieve the financial burden facing the six hospitals in the East Jerusalem Hospitals network.”
