RESMYLE in Lebanon to hold a workshop on waste management and reduction

In the context of the economic and political crisis in Lebanon for many years, no sustainable solution to waste treatment has been put in place. As a result, the majority of waste ends up in the sea or is burnt. These two ways of doing things are as polluting as they are harmful to health. It is therefore necessary to find immediate recycling solutions or a way to reduce the production of waste.

Faced with this observation, the Union of Municipalities of Tyre Caza and ADR, a partner of RESMYLE, have designed this workshop “Waste Warriors in the Village of Qana: Creating Waste Management Games” which will take place in Qana, South Lebanon from 28 February to 13 March 2023.

The objective is to conduct an awareness campaign among the population, especially the youngest, through games and interactive activities on waste management.

The participants will conduct interviews with the municipality of Qana in order to know the previous activities related to waste management implemented by the municipality, the type of waste produced at household and business level.
