As part of the ”Morocco-EU Green Partnership” and the MED-GEM project, funded by the European Union,, and in partnership with the Cluster Green H2, HINICIO and CertifHy, a Training of Trainers workshop was held on April 23–24, 2025, at the International University of Rabat. The objective: to strengthen local capacities for the certification of Renewable Fuels of Non-Biological Origin (RFNBOs) in accordance with the EU Renewable Energy Directive (RED II). The workshop brought together 50 participants from public institutions, private companies, universities and technical partners, all members of the Cluster Green H2. This multisectoral engagement reflects a growing momentum around certification and access to the EU market. Sessions covered the RED II regulatory framework, delegated acts, and the CertifHy voluntary scheme, adapted to the Moroccan context. Hands-on workshops strengthened participants’ skills in traceability, mass balancing, and GHG emissions reduction. This training session, led by the EU funded MED-GEM Network with support from Cluster Green H2, and Hinicio, marks a key milestone toward the emergence of a certified, green, Mediterranean hydrogen value chain.
