The Lebanese start-up Slighter has been selected in the “class of 2018” of Demo Days, the last selection stage of Big Booster, the Booster Hub Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes partner of THE NEXT SOCIETY initiative. Slighter develops an intelligent lighter that supports the user to reduce his tobacco consumption.

Slighter has continued the adventure at Booster Camp in Boston in the United States where it has just  benefited from an individualised agenda of meetings, joint workshops with the Mass Challenge acceleration programme and networking meetings organised by the city of Boston and the Only Lyon delegation.

After Lyon and Boston, the second acceleration bootcamp of the Start-up Booster Track THE NEXT SOCIETY will be co-organised by BigBooster and StartUp Maroc in October 2018 in Casablanca and Rabat as a springboard for internationalisation towards Africa.

The Start-up Booster Track is a tailor-made acceleration programme for entrepreneurs in the MENA region that aims at supporting them to bridge with key markets in Europe, Africa, the Gulf countries and the United States.

BigBooster, a global programme established on 4 continents created in 2015 around the Lyon – Boston axis, has quickly evolved and today offers an immersion in the heart of the most dynamic innovation ecosystems. The start-ups in the “class of 2018” will benefit from a tailor-made programme enabling them to study local best practices and build a network of allies to start doing business in the USA, China and the Middle East through Morocco and Tunisia. BigBooster is a partner of THE NEXT SOCIETY and coordinates the acceleration bootcamps, one of the Start-up Booster Track services of the initiative.
