SwitchMed offers training to Egypt’s grassroots initiatives in social eco-innovation

Are you a civil society actor in Egypt looking to develop or reinforce your projects? Looking for the technical assistance you need to turn your ideas into reality? Do you want to launch a Grassroots Initiative on Social-Eco-innovation? If so, join the SwitchMed workshop on “Social Eco-innovation” in Egypt!

The workshop, to be held on 11-14 March 2017, is part of the SwitchMed Civil Society training programme. The objective of the programme is to support social and ecological innovations by Civil Society Organizations (CSO) in the Mediterranean region. 
 
Participants will have the chance to:
  • Develop their ideas for ecological and social innovation.
  • Discover the best ways to raise funds.
  • Build or improve their communication plans.
  • Receive legal guidance.
  • Identify solutions for improving the governance of their organisation.
  • Exchange views with other pioneers in social and ecological innovation in highly participative discussion sessions.
After the training, 2 initiatives will be receiving further technical support.
 
The deadline for application is 5 February 2017.
 
The SwitchMed sustainable consumption and production programme aims to promote a switch by the Mediterranean economies towards sustainable consumption and production patterns and green economy, including low-emission development, through demonstration and dissemination of methods that improve resource and energy efficiency. It also seeks to minimise the environmental impacts associated with the life cycle of products and services and, where possible, to promote renewable energy.
