On the occasion of World Refugee Day, the Delegation of the European Union to Morocco took part in a meeting organized in partnership with the UNHCR at the Bookstore of the Mohammed VI Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art.

Through stories of exile, concrete commitments, and inspiring journeys, this meeting provided an opportunity to reflect on living together, illuminated by the words, journeys, and experiences of those who make up the human mosaic of Morocco today.

This roundtable, themed “Asylum and Refugees: At the Crossroads,” brought together voices committed to a humane and supportive dialogue. During his participation, Mr. Daniele Dotto, Deputy Head of Delegation, emphasized the importance of placing people at the heart of discussions on the migration issue.

“The European Union and the UNHCR have been working closely together in Morocco for nearly 20 years, united by a humanist vision of migration, faithful to our fundamental values: dignity, solidarity, and human rights. Through our solidarity, we want to help the weakest and most destitute, collateral victims of senseless conflicts, aware that migratory journeys are not statistics: they are human stories, made of courage, loss, and hope.”
