On 27 September, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) will, under the framework of the EU-funded SwitchMed programme, organize an event in Monastir, Tunisia, to launch a pilot project in the aquaculture sector.
The pilot project will, until 2023, demonstrate eco-innovative technologies and operational best practices that can help advance resource-efficient production standards and improve the environmental performance of Tunisia’s aquaculture sector.
- The demonstration pilot project is part of the SwitchMed programme Blue Economy component, which seeks to advance sustainable consumption and production practices in vital marine economic sectors, selected in line with the EU Blue Growth strategy.
