How to mobilize youth and make them aware of the issues related to hate speech? This was the theme of the study day that was hosted by the Faculty of the Science of Education of Mohamed V University in Rabat on 6 December 2017.

The event was part of a campaign organised by the No Hate Speech Morocco committee entitled “No to Hate Speech”, launched by the Council of Europe in 2013, which aims at mobilizing young people in order to raise awareness of the issues related to online hate speech and human rights and to take action on this matter.

This study day was organised to celebrate the International Human Rights Day in the framework of the South Programme II, which seeks to promote “a reinforced democratic governance in the South of the Mediterranean”. This EU-funded programme allows the implementation of projects which contribute to the reinforcement of human rights, rule of law and democracy in the partner countries of the South of the Mediterranean, in line with European and international standards.
