L’Art Rue Association is launching our 2021 open call for 3 months creation residencies each in Tunis.

L’Art Rue Association provides you with their expertise, a workplace, accommodation, a creation fee and production costs to develop your artistic project.

L’Art Rue opens its workplace to support the young contemporary artistic scene from Middle East and Africa. Since 2016, it has been developing a specific program for artistic residencies and has worked with 17 artists or artistic collective from Egypt, France, Italia, Belgium, Tunisia and South Africa. The target is to support and develop contemporary creation, its diffusion by offering to the artist long periods of creation in Tunisian context.

These residencies are for young professional artists or aspiring professional artists under 35 years old. – All artistic fields are eligible. – All applicants must be artists living or native of MENA or Africa – Candidates may apply as individuals or as a group – All artistic projects must bare or be engaged with contextual artistic approach, that is to say projects developed for or with Tunisian context. -Applicants must aim high artistic standards – Candidates should be fully available for a 3 months period and for the first two weeks of October 2020 to take part in an artistic exchange and thinking laboratory. – Art projects developed during the residency period will be presented to the public
