The European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed) needs to fill the position of Project Manager.

Under the guidance of the Director of the Euro-Mediterranean Policies Department and the Direction/ Management of the IEMed and as part of the EuroMeSCo Project Team, in the framework of the action of the European Union Grant ENI/2019/412-960, the Project manager will be asked to perform horizontal project management tasks and ensure the achievement of the results foreseen by the Project.

This will include:

• Coordinating and managing the activities of the EuroMeSCo network and the project, and ensuring the compliance with the project’s objectives. This includes in particular operational reporting, monitoring (including engaging in possible Results Oriented Monitoring reviews), evaluation (including engaging in possible external evaluations), strategic planning tasks, analysing project results and proposing improvements, ensuring the quality of the deliverables and the respect of deadlines.
• Representing the Project in various international events and managing effective cooperation with partners and donors.
• Ensuring the soundness of databases and of administrative processes (contractual, administrative and expenditure processes) with the support of team members and other staff of the IEMed.
• Coordinating the different tracks of the project (research, communication,events, survey) and the respective team members in charge, providing them support, insights and guidance, ensuring a smooth organisation of tasks, quality of the outputs as well as buy-in and participation of policy makers in the project’s activities.
• Conceptualising activities under the project in a strategic way, in line with the priorities of Euro-Mediterranean policies. of activities.
• Directly responsible for some activities under the Project, in particular the development of “flexibility instruments” to adapt research to emerging and relevant issues as well as policy developments.
• Proposing synergies, innovative ideas, activities and sources of funding to make the EuroMeSCo prosper and improve.
• These tasks might involve travelling in the Euro-Mediterranean region.
• Other similar functions entrusted to him/her in keeping with his/her category.
