Tunisia Support for the activities of CSOs working for sustainable territorial development in Algeria
The overall objective of this call for proposals is: to support the actions of civil society organisations contributing to sustainable territorial development in Algeria.
The specific objective of this call for proposals is: to support civil society organisations working in the fields of environment, climate change and/or the green economy, so that they can contribute to local governance in Algeria through dialogue and partnership with territorial authorities.
This call for proposals prioritises the capacity building of these civil society organisations in order to:

Implement local initiatives or projects addressing environmental challenges identified in sectoral or territorial planning documents (such as local climate plans, municipal development plans, or others) related to environmental protection, and/or climate change adaptation/mitigation, and/or the promotion of the green economy; and/or
-
Enable them to contribute to citizen participation processes, in partnership with territorial authorities, with the aim of prioritising environmental actions integrated into territorial or sectoral planning.
A systematic consideration of the rights-based approach and gender equality must be ensured and clearly described in the proposal.
Partnerships between civil society organisations, territorial authorities, and other stakeholders are encouraged in order to enhance the impact on target populations and the sustainability of the actions.
